The wife of saxophonist John Coltrane and the keyboard player in his group until his death in 1967, Alice Coltrane embraced Baba’s teachings of peace, truth, non-violence, the love of God and our fellow creatures and let these new found disciplines influence her solo work which focussed on a deep spiritual sound.
